What does the Coordination Unit do?

The Coordination Unit's role is to oversee and monitor the Family Day Care Educators registered with their organisation.

Roles and responsibilities of the Coordination Unit include:

• Recruit, mentor, train and support Educators
• Enrol and place families requiring care with appropriate available placements
• Regularly visit Educators, monitor the care environment and the children in care
• Liaise and work with government departments associated with early childhood, school-aged care and family day care
• Uphold the relevant legislation for family day care, and maintain the Beenleigh Family Day Care  service policies and procedures and the National Quality Standards for Child Care services
• Hold relevant qualifications in Early Childhood, and regularly attend training in the child care industry
• Hold current Positive Notice of Blue Card and First Aid.  
• Process Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) payments
