Our Staff
Deborah - AccountsMy association with Beenleigh Family Day Care goes way back to 1982, when my first child commenced care. I was so impressed with how the Scheme operated that, I myself became a carer. I had a break from paid work as my children grew and in 1996 when my youngest was 18 months old, I commenced work with this service as an administrative assistant. My role has changed somewhat over the past couple of years and I am currently studying a Cert IV in Bookkeeping, while continuing to help with the administration of the service. I married in 1979 and my husband, Kerrin I have 3 grown children, the youngest now 19. I think one of the joys working for so long in this service is that I now see parents that were enrolled in our service as youngsters coming in to enrol their own little babies.

Leanne - CoordinatorI have been involved in the Child Care Industry since 1993, through out the years I have gained skills and knowledge from performing responsibilities as an Assistant, Group Leader, Assistant Director and Director. Prior to transitioning into the role of Family Day Care Coordinator, I spent 6 years training and assessing students as they acheived their goals in completing a Child Care qualification. As a mentor in the field of education and development, I have conducted training in the transition to the Early Years Learning Framework and other various industry improvements. As a Family Day Care Coordinator, my role will enable me to support Educators in a rewarding career as they foster children's interest through play and broaden their own skills and knowledge as an understanding of high quality care is established. |

Sonia - Coordinator
My career in the Early Childhood Industry began in 1988 working in Child Care centres. I have been involved in this industry ever since working as an Assistant, Group Leader, Assistant Director and Director before then moving to Family Day Care. I then worked as a Family Day Care Educator for 4 years before becoming a Coordinator in 2011. Every one of these roles has brought me a great deal of job satisfaction and I have continued my studies throughout my career completing my Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services in 2010.
I began working in this industry as I enjoy watching children grow and develop - I still love to see the delight on children’s faces when they discover something new in the world. My role as a Coordinator allows me to still be involved in children’s lives while also supporting families and Educators.
On a personal note I married in 1998 and have been blessed with 2 wonderful children. My children are not only still discovering new things about the world but are also teaching me new things as well.
